Participants in the 2015 Pennypinchers Origin of Trails can once again look forward to a two-day stage race focused on the development of world-class mountain biking trails around Stellenbosch on November 27 and 28.
Since its inception two years ago, the event has been adding trails each year.

“Our goal has always been to combine a vast network of trails with beauty and exclusivity, while raising funds to further trail building in Stellenbosch,” said Michael Meyer of Stillwater Sports.
“The 2015 event will be no different. A portion of every entry fee will go directly towards trail building and local organisations aligned around these trails.”
Technical route designer Hendrico Burger said riders would be in for a treat as they take in the iconic sections that have made the race so popular.
“Stage one will see riders experiencing both old and new trails in Jonkershoek. There are new trails between Eden and Mont Marie,” said Burger.
“The Banhoek trails have received further love and care, making them even nicer to ride during stage two.”
He said highlights would include new single-track in Boschendal and a new contour section.
Each of the stages has a short-course option.
Stage one is approximately 60km and the second stage is 65km. The short courses are 31km and 34km respectively.
