Team Abantu’s Nolan Hoffman has won this year’s Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour.
The thirty-sixth annual 109 kilometre circular route from Cape Town down the Cape Peninsula and back kicked off just after 6am this morning.
Some 35 000 cyclists are taking part – 4 000 of whom are visitors to South Africa.
The Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour is the world’s largest individually timed cycle race.
Meanwhile Burry Stander’s widow, Cherise has won the elite women’s race in the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour.
This is her third cycle tour win after taking the honours in 2008 and 2011.
