Hoffman claimed victory in all five of the events (15km Scratch, 4km Pursuit, Elimination, 1km TT and the 250m flying lap) before the finale, the 40km Points Race.
Hoffman continued with his dominant form on Sunday at the Lights by Linea Track GP by winning the 1500m final beating all of the countries top track sprinters barring Bernard Esterhuizen (who was not present). He also went not to win the Elimination race, 10km Scratch race and the 15km Points Race.
“Its always great to race at home and be able to win in front of my home crowd, especially a SA title. I’m pretty pleased with my performances here and I’m starting to find some very good form. I am very focused for the upcoming road races and really looking forward to the rest of this season.” said Hoffman.
“I’m very pleased with how the guys have turned things around. Even though Lost City was not a great result it was a much improved team effort. David rode incredibly well this past weekend on the track to finish second and the boys are training hard in Franschoek. It’s going to be a busy month September, with Dome on the seventh, a race in Swaziland on the 14th and the four GoWest Crits as well as Race4Victory.” said team principal Dean Edwards.
