Tejay van Garderen’s Team BMC Racing won the men’s team time-trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Ponferrada, Spain, on Sunday.
The team finished the 51.7km course in 1:03:29:85 to beat Orica-GreenEdge by 31:84 seconds and Omega Pharma-QuickStep by 35:22 seconds.
Sir Bradley Wiggins’ Team Sky finished off the podium in fourth after losing two of their six riders early on. Team Tinkoff-Saxo rounded out the top five.
