The inaugural mountain bike race The Munga has officially been postponed. The 1000km single-stage event was due to take place on December 3 in the Karoo region.
According to a statement on their website race director Alex Harris said that they face one of the race’s toughest challenges by having to move it to next year as one of the key investors has withdrawn.
He says that the vision of the race remains clear; to create a global platform where they completely challenge the norm and format of endurance racing and the individuals’ perception of what is possible.
Harris concludes his statement by saying that the Munga Dream has not changed, it is just getting stronger.
