The event will kick off at Lourensford Wine Estate on November 7 and end at Onrus Caravan Park on November 9.
Nico Pfitzenmaier and Renay Groustra took the win at last year’s race in a time of 8 hours, 53 minutes, and 18 seconds.
“Renay and I would like to defend our title, while having fun on the trails,” says Pfitzenmaier.
Another hot favourite is Rourke Croeser and Travis Walker who will make their debut at the race.
“I heard about the event two years ago,” says Croeser.
“It’s been on my ‘to do’ list ever since. I’ve heard that the riding conditions are out of this world. I’m looking forward to riding the Cape Trails that I have not yet had the privilege of riding.”
Other top contenders include Christoph Sauser and Konny Looser, Kevin Evans and James Reid, Hanco Kachelhoffer and Chris Wolhuter, Dominic Calitz and Heiko Redecker, Robyn De Groot and Catherine Williamson, Jennie Stenerhag and Candice Neethling, Hanlie Booyens and Sharon Laws, Johan Labuschagne and Yolande De Villiers.
