The track champs will take place from January 21 to 25 at the Sax Young cycle track in Alexander Park. This venue will also play host to the 2016 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships.
Wartburg will host the road champs from February 9 until 14 and is expected to attract participation from 25 to 30 African nations.
A team time trial will kick off proceedings on the first day, followed by individual time trials on the next two days, and ending of with three days of road racing.
KwaZulu-Natal will also be hosting this year’s BMX African Continental Championships at Giba Gorge on October 26, which is a big step forward for the sport in the country and Africa as this is the first time that the BMX Commission has held a Continental Championship-status event.
