The Bestmed Tour de Boland organisers have increased the field of the event by 200 riders to a total of 700.
All of the country’s pro teams will be present at the race which takes place from March 2 until 6 in the Western Cape province.
Cyclists will tackle a total of 430km over five stages with a total vertical ascent of 7 128 metres.
The highlight of the Tour is on the final day when riders must summit the Paarl Mountain to cross the finish line at the Taal Monument.
