Pennypinchers has come on board as the title sponsor of next year’s SA National Road and Time Trial Championships which is taking place in Mbombela from February 3 to 8.
The company is the sponsor of a few regional cycling events around the country, but this is the first time it will support SA’s blue ribbon event.
The championship event is also sponsored by the Mpumalanga Department of Sport and Recreation and will portray the best aspects of Mbombela’s sights and scenery, tourism and hospitality.
Car rental company Europcar is the car hire sponsor and will also offer roof racks on their vehicles for those travelling in from outside Mpumalanga.
Hotel group Tsogo Sun will provide accommodation for the officials during the week.
All the road cycling categories, incorporating the Elite men and women, U23 men, junior men and women, masters men and women, Para-cycling, tandems and schools will compete along the same routes, with each category racing within their required distances.
