Cycling South Africa, Pedal Power and the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust have reached an agreement with regards to whether or not licenced riders may participate in the 2015 Cape Town Cycle Tour.
The agreement between the three organisations came in light of the decision to re-implement the UCI Rule 1.2.019, which states that licenced riders may not participate in non-UCI sanctioned events.
The condition of the three parties’ accord is that the events of the Cape Town Lifecycle Week be placed on the National Cycling Calendar of Cycling SA.
According to this agreement, both licenced and unlicenced riders are permitted to participate in these events without fear of sanction.
