Stefan Garlicki claimed victory by half-a-second in the elite men’s category of the first downhill event of the Stihl 2015 SA MTB Cup Series in Contermanskloof in the Western Cape on Sunday, February 22.

Andrew Neethling took second place, while Tiaan Odendaal snatched third place on the podium.
“It’s been such a long time coming. For the past four years I have only ever come so close to first, but never first,” said Garlicki.
Garlicki will be travelling to Europe with his Solid Reverse Factory Racing UCI team in a month’s time to compete in the World Cup.
The first World Cup race will take place in Lourdes, France.
