Andrew Hill and Chris Wolhuter extended their comfortable four-minute overnight lead to take a dominating win in the two-day dusi2c mountain bike race at Blue Lagoon in Durban on Sunday.

Hill and Wolhuter (Mfula Store Team TIB) added a further seven minutes to their overall margin to claim the title in 4:39:44.
It was the third consecutive dusi2c title for Hill but, he said, it had not been all plain sailing.
“There were a few changes to the route, although minor, and a few navigation errors on my behalf cost us a couple of seconds here and there as well as my handle bars coming loose made it a bit more difficult.”
Wolhuter said they had felt confident in their ability after a strong start on day one.
“We put the others under pressure a few times today and it gave us that advantage that you plan for. If something does go wrong then you have that cushion that you can use.”
Bianca Haw and Andrew Houston (Red Bull Seed’co) were unchallenged in the mixed category, while Michelle Schlebusch and Michelle Powell (Michelle Squared) proved to be a winning combination in the women’s race.
The 2015 dusi2c also produced unprecedented results for the RMB Change a Life Academy riders. Four of their development teams achieved top 10 finishes, with Mzwi Smimango and Bongumusa Zikhali claiming silver behind Hill and Wolhuter.
