Britain’s Steve Cummings finished 10th in the stage one time-trial for MTN-Qhubeka as the Tour de France got underway in Utrecht today.
MTN-Qhubeka’s Daniel Teklehaimanot had the honour of starting first in the 102nd edition of Le Tour, which started in the Netherlands for the sixth time.
Cummings recorded a time of 15’28” over the 13.8km course.
Australia’s Rohan Dennis of BMC Racing, a former UCI Hour Record holder, won the stage in 14:56 ahead of Germany’s Tony Martin (Etixx-Quick-Step) and Switzerland’s Fabian Cancellara.
