Fast man Theo Bos will lead Team MTN-Qhubeka as they take on the inaugural Abu Dhabi Tour as their final tour of the season.
The four-day UCI 2.1-rated event promises to be a sprinter’s dream, if the desert crosswinds do not blow, as it covers 555km around the United Arab Emirates capital.

The line-up will include Theo Bos, Matthew Goss, Andy Stauff and Youcef Reguigui, who will work for the sprint stages on day one, two and four, as well as Daniel Teklehaimanot and Songezo Jim who will aim to make an impression on day three’s climbing stage.
Jim said the general classification was likely to be decided on the third stage.
“Abu Dhabi is a new race so we don’t know what to expect really. There are a lot of WorldTour teams here though so a lot could happen. For us the goal will be to concentrate on the sprints with Theo.”
Head of performance Jens Zemke said the whole team would be looking to give it their all after a long and tough but successful season.
