Gauteng will host the third and final leg of Cycling South Africa’s Track Interprovincial and Grand Prix Series at Hector Norris Park in Turffontein on November 21 and 22.

The country’s top track stars from five provinces will vie for glory in the team sprint, team pursuit, 1 500m and elimination races.
The hosts are currently second overall behind the Western Cape, with Free State in third. The Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal teams will be in the race for fourth place, having each skipped a round of the three-leg series.
In the Grand Prix Series, individual riders will compete in the sprint, keirin, elimination, 1 500m, points and madison events.
Angela Scullard, who is organising the event, said the madison would be one of the highlights for spectators.
“It will be our last event for the day and always promises great entertainment. It will be an open race, so the juniors, elites and vets will be competing together.”
