Cycling South Africa announced on Friday that entries for the 2016 National Road, Time-Trial and Para-cycling Championships have opened.

The SA champs, which take place in KwaZulu-Natal from February 10 to 14, will see the country’s finest road cyclists vying for the national champions’ jerseys.
The competitive categories include elite men and women, U23 men, junior men and women, masters men and women, para-cycling and tandems. Riders in the U10 to U14 categories will receive age group trophies and jerseys but will not be official SA titleholders.
The event starts with the time-trial races in the Wartburg area on the opening two days. The routes will be the same as those used for the 2015 African continental road championships, with distances varying according to the age group. The para-cycling component will take place at the same time.
The road races follow on the roads of Westville, Durban, on the remaining two days.
