A top field of international women’s teams has been confirmed for the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge in Johannesburg on November 15.
The organisers and Cycling South Africa have announced that three foreign teams – Liv Platur, Tibco SVB and Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio‘s Bigla Pro outfit – will be taking part in the UCI 1.1-rated event.

They will join South Africa’s Bestmed-ASG, Activate-Demacon, Time Freight-E and Clover Prestigio teams, as well as invitational sides from across Africa – including Botswana, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Israel, Namibia, Rwanda and Mauritius.
With only the women’s race granted UCI status, the female riders will vie for valuable UCI points in their quest to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Last year’s winner Marianne Vos will present the teams at a press conference on November 13.
