CSA has announced that basic annual membership fee will be R150 plus the provincial affiliation fee. Members are entitled to enter any event, regardless of discipline, without needing to purchase a day licence, which usually costs R35 per event per day.
Members may also participate in national series events but will not be eligible for national or provincial selection.
Those riders from the age of 17 years who want to be eligible for selection must obtain a full racing licence.
This is available at a cost of R350 per annum over and above their CSA membership fee. Racing licence holders will also be required to pay their provincial affiliation fee and the membership of their CSA-affiliated club.
CSA membership benefits include preferential rates on car hire through Europcar and medical expenses benefits for cycling-related accidents through Hollard Insurance Company as well as administrative assistance with Road Accident Fund claims through RoadCover.
