Home from home, a child protection organisation, are offering 40 entries to riders who are eager to participate in the Cape Town Cycle Tour (CTCT) on March 6.
The organisation will charge the standard entry fee of R700, which includes a Unitrans Home from Home CTCT team cycling shirt.
Each year riders scramble to secure a spot in the race and this is why Home from Home development director Pippa Shaper is thrilled to have entries to spare.
She said that they were overjoyed to have the opportunity to raise funds for their homes through this initiative.
“All the funds raised via the Cape Town Cycle Tour go directly to providing for the children and families in our network.”
Home from Home will run their own programme over the weekend of the cycle tour.
Starting on March 4, participants will have the opportunity to meet the families who will benefit from the funds raised. This will be followed by wine tasting at Constantia Glen Vineyard.
On March 5, riders can attend the CTCT Expo and after the race the team will get to together for a braai.
