Last year’s overall series winner Alan Hatherly said he was excited that Mankela would host the first round of the 2016 national series.
“I had a really good one last year and the course suits me. It’s going to be a great opener.”
Hatherly said he managed to tick all the boxes to get himself race ready compared to the previous season.
“I’m heading to Nelspruit feeling confident and knowing what to expect this year.”
With four of the five rounds boasting UCI Category 1 status – and one Category 2 – the series holds opportunities for elite cyclists to boost their points and rankings ahead of the Olympics.
