Telkom have announced that they will sponsor a new professional road and mountain bike cycling team in 2016.
Owned by former pro Malcolm Lange, Team Telkom will comprise seven riders, including Nolan Hoffman, arguably South Africa’s top track and road sprinter.
Hoffman is joined by experienced trio Johann Rabie, HB Kruger and David Maree and youngsters Reynard Butler, Morné van Niekerk and Aidan van Niekerk.

“With Team Telkom, we believe we’ve found the ideal sweet spot, where we will have a competitive presence at the front of both South African road and mountain bike races throughout the year,” said Lange.
“Our road race schedule includes all three big one-day races – the Cape Town Cycle Tour, 94.7 and Amashova. We’ve also penned in the national championships and all the road stage races.”
