Entries are on average 10 per cent up on this time last year and Knysna Rotary are looking forward to one of the biggest fields ever.
The event comprises mountain bike and road races as well as the Spur Children’s Tour and Forest Family Dam Ride.
“We have modified the 109km road race route slightly as there were some concerns about the road to Barrington,” said marketing director Andrew Finn.
“Cyclists will now enjoy a slightly longer (115km) but easier route with one less big climb.” He said the 50km route remains unchanged.
The four mountain bike races (80km, 50km, 30km and 15km) cater for riders with varying technical abilities with both the 80km and 50km options official seeding events for the Cape Town Cycle Tour.
The routes are set up and managed by Leon Evans, also known as Dr Evil, and while participants will be riding through one of the most scenic areas on the Garden Route, they will be tested to the maximum.
