Team Dimension Data have announced their final team roster of nine riders for the Tour de France, which takes place from July 2 to 24.
Newly crowned Eritrean road and time-trial champion Daniel Teklehaimanot, who won the Criterium du Dauphiné king of the mountains classification for a second time recently, will again be on the start line.
He will be joined by countryman Natnael Berhane, who will make his Tour de France debut, with Reinardt Janse van Rensburg the sole South African.
They will be joined by Britons Steve Cummings, who won the team’s first Tour de France stage on Mandela Day last year, and Mark Cavendish, who will seek to add to his 26 stage wins.
Cavendish will be able to count on lieutenants Mark Renshaw and Bernhard Eisel, with the latter also being the team’s road captain.
Belgian Serge Pauwels and Norwegian road and time-trial champion Edvald Boasson Hagen make up the rest of the team.
