A memorial ride will be held in honour of Gugu Zulu, South African rally champion and mountain biker, at Northern Farm near Lanseria on July 23.
Ride for Gugu will be hosted by the ChilliLane MTB Group and Diepsloot Mountain Bike Academy.
Entrance will be free for all riders and participants are encouraged to wear red.
The sporting hero passed away on Monday while attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
Zulu and his wife, Letshego Zulu, were part of a group of people involved in the Trek4Mandela expedition.
