The fourth round of the TrailSeeker Series in Buffelsdrift on Saturday will be a crucial one for marathon rankings leaders Heine Engelbrecht and Theresa Ralph.
Neither Engelbrecht nor Ralph (Galileo Risk) has won any of the first three rounds, but their consistently high placings sees them topping the standings.

Both will be gunning for the top spots again but they’re in for a tough battle considering the entries.
Maricel Bekker, second in the series rankings, and Adrienne Moolman, runner-up at Buffelsdrift last year, are likely to be in the hunt for podium positions in the women’s division.
Engelbrecht’s chief challengers are likely to be Philip Buys (Scott LCB Factory Racing), HB Kruger (Team Telkom), Henry Uys (Complete Cyclist), Arno du Toit (Scott LCB Factory Racing) and Thinus Redelinghuys.
The marathon will be over 69km with 890m of ascent, while the half marathon will be over 40km with 450m of climbing.
