Ilna Lemmer will look to defend her title at the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Masters Championships at the Manchester Velodrome from October 1 to 8.
In last year’s event Lemmer won gold in the Women’s Points Race 60+ category and two bronze medals in the 2000m Pursuit and Scratch races.
She is also aiming to improve her result in the Pursuit in the 60+ category.
“We did a lot of Points training at Pilditch,” said Lemmer. “I am sure it will help me in the Points race.
“I am more of an endurance rider, and definitely not a sprinter. I can’t wait to get on that smooth, wind-less, wooden track.”
