Cycling tourism will be the theme of the third Bosfietsberaad, which takes place from December 2 to 4 in Stellenbosch.
The main speaker will be Alan Winde, Provincial Minister of Economic Opportunities for the Western Cape. An avid cyclist, he will talk about the latest developments this field.

There will be a presentation on Friday on the cycling tourism month of March, followed by the Stellenbosch Cycling annual general meeting.
On Saturday a ride along the river will be held, with speakers providing details on the Stellenbosch Trail Fund’s new and planned routes.
The ride will end at Lanzerac where Elmarie Rabe, head of the Stellenbosh Wine Routes, will talk about how cycling tourism fits in with wine tourism.
An evening dinner will take place at the Blue Crane & The Butterfly, with further discussion on the weekend’s theme.
On the final day there will be coffee followed by a relaxing ride.
The conference fee is R150 per person, which includes the cocktail party and dinner.
Stellenbosch is one of the most popular cycling destinations in the country and conference visitors will be able to explore several routes over the weekend.
