The Johannesburg Grand Prix at Hector Norris Park in December is expected to provide a series of keenly contested track races.
“The focus will be mostly on the bunch events so there will be plenty of timed and fast-paced racing,” said Gauteng Track Cycling commissioner Angela Scullard.
She added they would like to see entries from the younger age-groups.
Gauteng’s largest track event has been running for nearly three decades, with previous competitors including such greats as Malcolm Lange and Willie Engelbrecht.
Most of the sprint events will take place on Saturday, while Sunday will be taken up by the open points and madison events for the elite, junior and veterans categories.
