Phetetso Monese and Bruce Hughes (Team ACE Lesotho) continued their winning streak claiming their second stage win at the Wines2Whales Ride at Oak Valley Wine Estate today.
They won in a time of 2:57:04 and were followed home by Lorenzo Le Roux and Daniel Mannweiler (KAP Prochorus) in second and Graeme Dale Kuys and Darryn Stow (More Cowbell) in third.

“The route was really nice. We started with a bunch of six teams. I was worried that they’d make things tough for us, but we managed to breakaway. I enjoyed the bridges at Paul Cluver,” said Monese.
Jana Kruger and Ilse Viljoen (Team Companero) crossed the finish line first in the women’s race in 3:44:24.
Meike Aschenbroich and Inky Talbot (Team Sterri Stumpi & Beer) came in second, while Alta Kriegler and Sunette Beyers (Team Vergelegen) finished third.
Russell Lund and Anneke Hanekom (Team Haaskat) also secured their second stage victory in the mixed team category with a deserving finishing time of 3:23:29.
Jeanie De Villiers and Piet Laubscher (Citricom 2) took second, while Nicholas Webb and Kylie Hanekom (Bike Hub) claimed third.
The action of the W2W Ride will culminate tomorrow with a 69km stage from Oak Valley Wine Estate to Onrus Caravan Park.
