Mountain bike ace Frankie du Toit is looking to build on her early season form when the second round of the National MTB XCO Series takes place at Wolwespruit Bike Park in Tshwane on April 15.
Based in her new home town of Stellenbosch, Du Toit said she had felt good in the first event in the Western Cape in February.

“But I know that I can do better and now it’s just a matter of trying to progress to that level,” she said.
Reflecting on her move to the Western Cape, Du Toit said she felt it was the best decision she had made.
“I’m really enjoying the change of scenery and the trails down here are amazing.
“The riding is incredible. There are so many people to ride with and so many different and exciting routes.”
Originally from Wartburg in KwaZulu-Natal, she is looking forward to the opportunities professional mountain biking offers her and will be going to Europe next week for national cups in France, Italy and Germany.
Next month’s UCI Category 1 event will again showcase some of the country’s best cross country mountain biking talent in the Wolwespruit Nature Reserve in Tshwane.
Entries for the event are open and close on April 11.
