The Bestmed Jock Tour have embraced changes previously announced by the International Cycling Union, which amended the maximum distances allowed in women’s races, and will host elite ladies for the first time in Nelspruit this September.

Bestmed-ASG professional cyclist An-li Kachelhoffer has confirmed her attendance for the race, which takes place from the 15th to 17th.
“We can now take part in a range of road events locally in which were previously disallowed,” said Kachelhoffer.
“Having ladies racing over longer distances is really good for the sport and will certainly lift the level.”
For stage races, the maximum average distances for all stages have been increased from 120km to 140km while each individual stage is capped at 160km.
