A podium finish for Dimension Data’s Edvald Boasson Hagen increased his lead in the Tour of Norway general classification after the second stage finished in Brumunddal yesterday.
Boasson Hagan finished behind Dylan Groenewegen (Team LottoNl-Jumbo) and Kristoffer Halvorsen (Joker Icopal).
His additional bonus points for the GC means he is eight seconds ahead of Tosh Van der Sande (Lotto-Soudal) and ten seconds in front of Simon Gerrans (Orica-Scott).

Sports director Alex Sans Vega said the team had done well to control the race for Boasson Hagen.
“Towards the end, Lotto-NL Jumbo started working as well and we made sure Edvald was in a good position and didn’t lose any time.
“At the end, he finished third and got a few more bonus seconds, which usually are very important in this race.
“Tomorrow is a very hard stage, which will decide the GC. We are looking forward to it and we will try our best,” he said.
The third stage is 192km between Hamar and Lillehammer.
