Peter Sagan of Bora-Hansgrohe once again showed that he has the legs, as he powered over the finish line for the 100km stage eight of the Tour de Suisse, which started and ended in Schaffhausen, today.
The Slovak was followed home by Sacha Modolo of UAE Team Emirates with Matteo Trentin of Quick-Step Floors completing the stage’s podium.
The stage did little to the overall standings, with Simon Spilak still in the lead and one step closer to his second overall victory.

The strong effort from Sagan sets him up perfectly for the Tour de France and his bid for his sixth green jersey.
“It was a good day and I’m very happy. My team did a great job trying to control the stage and I’m really happy with my second win at the race,” he said.
