Sarah van Heerden and Cindy Theunissen currently lead the 1000 Miler, which started at Thaba Trails on Saturday.
The pair passed through Colesberg this morning before heading up to De Aar and Victoria West.

For the rest of the field it has been an eventful journey so far, with Christo van Heerden taking a day to recover from injury and John Le Roux, Craig Tomlinson, Wimpie Stander and Michael Ortlepp trailing behind due to a costly navigational error yesterday.
