Maties retained a strong lead after the second day of the USSA Cycling Championships as Max Sullivan and Frances du Toit won the road race, which started and finished at Grass Roof Farm Stall in Port Elizabeth yesterday.
Gert Heyns, who finished third in the 116km road race for men remained first on the general classification. Du Toit also held onto her first place as she finished the 91km seconds ahead of the competition.
