A promotional video highlighting the experience provided by the TransCape mountain bike race has been launched to boost one of South Africa’s iconic multi-stage events.
Mixing a serious mountain bike challenge with luxury treatment after each day, the TransCape takes place from Knysna to Franschhoek in the Western Cape from February 4 next year.
With the seven-day, 614km route offering a lifetime experience, organisers ASG Events are encouraging cycling enthusiasts, both locally and abroad, not to miss this opportunity.
The theme of “It’s Time” has been adopted for the campaign and ASG Events chief executive officer Wynand de Villiers said it was an attempt to ensure cyclists did not look back on their careers with any regrets.
He added that the concept of life and time inspired them to capture the essence of the TransCape, driven by Volvo, in the video.
“It’s what we do with our time that ultimately defines us and the TransCape is so much more than just a mountain bike experience – it is a life experience,” said De Villiers.
Rat Race Media managing director Dewald Visser, who put the video together, said the TransCape provided a golden opportunity for cyclists to tick off a bucket list event.
“The idea is ‘It’s Time’ to really spoil yourself and enter TransCape 2018. You might never ever get the chance again. Why wait?”
