Marais finished the 60km event in 2:30:46 to beat Julian Jessop (2:30:54) and Andrew Hill (2:32:04).
Bianca Haw powered to victory in the women’s category when she completed the race in 2:51:27 ahead of Tiffany Keep (3:03:06) and Hayley Smith (3:03:08).
