Team TIB Insurance Brokers won the opening stage of the iSimangaliso MTB 4 Day, which started at iSimangaliso Wetland Park in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.
The team won the 57km stage in 2:39:59 and were followed by IronFist (BELL) and The Muscle Crackers in second and third respectively.
Bella Equipment, ninth overall, were the first women’s team to finish. They finished well ahead of IMPI Girls, who finished more more than 15 minutes off their 2:59:53. FlowerPower rounded out the women’s podium.
Al & L, Team “X” and Pipet en Portret were the top three mixed teams on the day.
