Riders took on the three-stage Y2Karoo Race as it started at Colesburg High School in the Northern Cape yesterday.
The 171km event passed through the Karoo and, with no cut-off times, allowed participants as much time as they wanted to enjoy the scenery.

Day one (25km)
The opening stage started with a sundowner stage that took riders through the Skietberg MTB Trails. Riders were able to experience the Karoo Koppies while making their way along jeep and single track.

Day two (72km)
The second day tested riders as they completed 72km of riding with plenty of climbing. Passing through a number of surrounding farms, participants experienced true Karoo mountain biking.
