Team Dimension Data bolstered their Spring Classics line-up with the signing of Belgian Julien Vermote, the team announced today.
The 28-year-old spent seven years with Quick-Step, picking up three professional wins – one of these being victory on stage two of the Tour of Britain last year.
Vermote will also play a vital role in delivering the DiData sprinters to the finish line in other races.

“I’m really happy to be joining Team Dimension Data,” said Belgian, who usually excels in the cobbled races during the European spring.
“I must admit, it was a hard decision to leave Quick-Step. There comes a time in a rider’s career when you have to take that next step, and that time is now for me.
“I look forward to having more opportunities with DiData, particularly in the Spring Classics and being able to ride the final there.”
