Daniel Geismayr and Jocken Käss won the prologue of the Swiss Epic, a 18km route from Grächen’s Hannigalp to Grächen in Switzerland today.
The Centurion Vaude pair completed the race in 52:20 and were followed by Scott-Sram MTB’s Matthias Stirnemann and Andri Frischknecht. Texpa-Simplon’s Christoph Soukup and Michael Stünzi completed the men’s podium.
In the women’s category Spur – Wallonie’s Ariane Lüthi and Alice Pirard were the first to claim a stage victory as the finished two minutes ahead of Meerendal CBC’s Esther Süss and Jennie Stenerhag. Scott Womens – R’adys’ Cornelia Hug and Florence Darbellay finished third.
