Cycling South Africa officially announced the team to represent South African at the UCI Road World Championships, which take place in Bergen, Norway, from September 16 to 24.

The event will start with the team time-trial before the individual time-trial and road race.
The time-trial, which finishes on top of Mount Fløyen, will the be the first time a world championship time-trial finishes on top of a mountain.
Cycling SA announced Heidi Dalton, Jaco Venter, Nicholas Dlamini, Stefan de Bod and Tiffany Keep had all withdrawn from the team, citing personal reasons.
