Victory on the third and final day allowed Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes to secure the overall honours at the 3 Towers race, which concluded in Mankele yesterday.
The PYGA EuroSteel pair narrowly beat the the sub vet pairing of NAD Pro’s Gawie Combrinck and Nico Bell to take stage victory and the overall title with a total time of 7:35:55.
Dormakaba’s Candice Lill and Vera Aidran were the women’s champions with three stage victories and 8:41:42 spent in the saddle over the weekend.
Rotsvas’ Adrienne Moolman and Anton Moolman were crowned champions of the mixed category.
