The Sani Dragon mountain bike stage race started in the Sani Pass and takes riders on a 92km journey through the Underberg area of KwaZulu Natal.

Day one – 50km
The opening stage started from the Premier Hotel Himeville Arms and took riders along district roads, jeep tracks and single track in the Underberg and Himeville area as before they finished at the Premier Resort Sani Pass.

Day two – 42km
The second day of the Sani Dragon proved to be a true test as riders faced the formidable Sani Pass.
