Metkel Eyob secured his first stage victory at Tour du Rwanda as his Dimension Data teammate Joseph Areruya finished second to claim the overall lead after the fourth stage today.
The teammates secured the first two steps of the podium with a time of 2:52:54, while Jean Bosco Nsengimana finished third after completing the 121km route between Musanze and Nyamata.
South Africa’s Kent Main finished sixth in 2:55:09.
Areruya created one minute lead in the overall standings. He is followed by Eyob and Suleiman Kangangi, who are a minute behind him.
