Clint Hendricks won stage one of the Mpumalanga Tour that took cyclists on a 90km journey from Blyde River to Swadini today. Provisional results can be viewed below.
The Tour Durban champion, who rode in the colours of Team BCX for the first time, was followed home by Office Guru’s Ryan Harris and RandWater – Transnet’s Shameeg Salie. ProTouch’s Jayde Julius finished fourth, with teammate Gustav Basson in fifth.
In the vets and junior men category, Northcliff Cycles’ Jaco Cronje claimed the win. HiQ’s Ruben Helberg and ProTouch Rickardo Broxham finished in second and third. Fourth place went to Damon Fouchee, while Callum Ormiston finished in fifth.
