The Cradle Traverse, taking place from April 6 to 8 in Muldersdrift, has added a two-day option that will run alongside the three-day event.
The Cradle Traverse Two-Day Experience will take riders along the same routes a day after its big brother starts.
The new event is only shortened in terms of riding days and not daily riding distances (54km and 41km).
The opening day is known as “Lake Heritage Traverse”, offers 985m of climbing and is the longest stage in the race.
The second day is known as the “Conquer the Kloof” stage and presents 681m of climbing in its criss-crossing of the Kingskloof trail network.
“For the people who cannot take a Friday off work we have created a two-day option,” said event manager Henco Rademeyer.
“They can get into the spirit of the event at registration on Friday night, enjoy dinner with the riders who started on Friday morning and stay in the race village before starting the event on Saturday morning.”
In addition to the two-day event, there will also be a schools challenge and fun ride.
