Daryl Impey defended his individual time-trial title when he won the 43.8km course at the SA National Road Championships in Oudtshoorn today.
The Tour Down Under champion completed the three 14.6km-lap circuit in 52:37.92, more than two minutes ahead of Ryan Gibbons and almost five minutes over Rohan du Plooy.

Stefan de Bod, who had prepared well before the time-trial, won the men’s under-23 category and finished second overall with his time of 53:38.40.
