Jason Meaton and Anriette Schoeman were the respective men’s and women’s winners of the 60km event at the Bay by Bike MTB Race in Port Elizabeth today.
Meaton crossed the finish line after 2:27:33 and was followed home by Dean de Coning and Matt Spnjaard who finished in 2:35:48 and 2:37:02 respectively.

Schoeman claimed a winning time of 2:41:20. Siska van Der Bijl and Stacey Hyslop completed the podium for the women. They finished in 2:44:12 and 2:56:56 respectively.
The 30km men’s race was won by Marno van den Berg in 2:01:09. James van der Westhuyzen followed him home after 2:01:41, while Stuart Tawse placed third after 2:02:04.
Ashleigh Mayhead won the women’s race after finishing in, while Candy Boonzaier came in second after 2:17:04 and Cindy Ferrey finished third after 2:19:07.
