Mitchelton-Scott’s Simon Yates won the 175km seventh stage of the Paris-Nice, which finished at La Colmiane today.
The Briton soloed to victory, completing the stage in 5:02:54, eight seconds clear of BMC Racing’s Dylan Teuns (Belgium). Bahrain-Merida’s Ion Izagirre (Spain) rounded out the podium.

Following the victory, Yates takes the overall lead ahead of the eighth and final stage tomorrow.
Dimension Data’s Benjamin King (USA) was the highest-placed rider in the team, finishing in 34th. Natnael Berhane is the team’s highest-placed on the general classification in the team, currently in 37th.
